BIKE

My bikes low
And so I ride slow
Which allows me to view my view
And not get caught up in the scenery

And there he is
And there she goes
With way more than they’ll ever need
Tickets for an evening

I have gambled with the rich
And I have shut down with the poor
I have mingled with myself
And found I wasn’t ready for

Middle class Vancouver nights
Old man coughing through the night
And there goes pinky on his bike

My car’s low
And so I ride slow
Conserve all that I may need
The windshield is slightly cracked and beat

And there they are
And there they go
With more power for the feed
Shinny rims are spinning

I have gambled with the rich
And I have shut down with the poor
I have mingled with myself
And found I wasn’t ready for

Middle class Vancouver nights
Old man coughing through the night
And there goes pinky on his bike

Riding though traffic at the speed of light
Kicking up mud on his tighty tights
Rockin the metal all through the night
THERE GOES PINKY ON HIS BIKE!

I have gambled with the rich
And I have shut down with the poor
I have mingled with myself
And found I wasn’t ready for

Middle class Vancouver nights
Old man coughing through the night
And there goes pinky on his bike

Conversations by candlelight
Powerful minds burning cellulite
Taking a crack at the political types
Wearing a suit and believing the hype

Riding though traffic at the speed of light
Kicking up mud on his tighty tights
Rockin the metal all through the night
THERE GOES PINKY ON HIS BIKE!
